Saturday, October 3 2009: Gator Motorsports had the honor of giving a workshop series at UF’s annual family weekend. We presented and tabled to over 100 first year student and their families, even Albert stopped by to get in the car.

Gator Motor sports invited 7th and 8th graders from Bolles Middle School in Jacksonville to the shop. The students, who are part of the middle school’s math club and robotics team, were naturals at the A World in Motion activity, and were very interactive during a tour of the shop and a overview of our program. Sunday, March 22 2009:
Gator Motorsports hosted an outreach day to a Boy Scouts of America Webelos den from Gainesville. The group of 4th grade boys took a tour of the shop, learned about gear ratios, and built and competed eclectic toy cars with SAE’s World in Motion kits.

Saturday, March 21 2009: UF Society of Automotive Engineers attended ASME’s Swampfest. SAE displayed the Baja car at the annual car show to students and Gainesville residents.

Gator Motorsports was lucky enough to get a visit from Aan Surati from Schlumberger stopped by the shop for a tour and to take a seat in the formula car. As always it was pleasure to have one of our sponsors come and check in with us.
