Sunday, January 27, 2008:New wallpaper images of both cars have been added to the site! Each wallpaper is featured in multiple resolutions and in the orginal size. Make sure to spice up your desktop by adding one of our cars as your wallpaper.

Saturday, January 26, 2008:Gator Motorsports was recently featured on page two of the winter issue of The Florida Engineer. Dr. Khargonekar, dean of the college of engineering, got a chance to examine our program in detail during the photo shoot.

Monday, October 8, 2007:Gator Motorsports is proud to annouce that we have several new members that have joined our program during fall recruitment. Each member has been machine trained and is busy working on next year's car. Check out pictures from the machine training sessions as well as some general work from around the shop.

Monday, October 1, 2007:Formula Captain Dan Matthews recently visited Faro Technolgies to make 3D scans of parts that will go on the 2008 car. Employees at Faro were extremely helpful and spent the entire day teaching Dan to use the equipment. Thanks to all the people at Faro who made this possible!

Saturday July 20, 2007:Today was Gator Motorsports' annual sponsor drive day held at the Oaks Mall parking lot. Each year, companies and individuals that sponsor the team with parts, material, or financial aid are offered a chance to drive the Formula SAE car and see exactly what their sponsorship is going. After driving, a tour of the shop is given to the sponsors. This year's drive was a lot of fun for everyone.

Thursday July 19, 2007:The first meeting of the year was a success! The 2007 Summer Meeting took place tonight. Many new students attended and were shown highlights from last year's events and a look at plans for the coming year. Afterwards, a tour of the shop took place and new members were allowed to check out the cars and the technology that went into building them. To end the night representatives from Redbull stopped by and gave out free drinks to everyone present. Take a look at pictures from the meeting.

Monday July 16, 2007: Gator Motorsports attended IDEAL's Student Organization Fair at the Reitz Union colonade. The fair showcases dozens of UF student groups and allows incoming freshmen to get a feel for what UF has to offer. Gator Motorsports displayed the cars and gave students a chance to ask questions about the car and our society. Overall, the Student Organization Fair was a great success!

Tuesday June 20, 2007: Baja is back after placing 5th at the 2007 Baja SAE Midwest competition in Rochester, New York. Highlights from competition include 5th place in endurance, 11th in design, and 12th in cost. Thanks to everyone who supports Gator Motorsports and the Baja team!

Tuesday June 20, 2007: Congrats to Glendon Walker II for being selected as Gator Motorsports Member of the Month for May! Glendon worked hard on our Presentation event, nabbing a 9th place finish in the event.

Sunday May 20, 2007: The results are in - the Gator Motorsports Formula Team placed 6th at this year's Formula SAE competition held at the Ford Proving Grounds in Romeo, Michigan. Highlights include 9th in presentation, 9th in acceleration, 7th in autocross, and 9th in endurance. Thanks to all our sponsors, supporters, and alumni for your help and dedication over the past year.

Saturday May 5, 2007: Gator Motorsports held its annual unveiling event, which was a great success! Family, friends, and faculty members showed up to be the first to see the 2007 cars! Thanks to all who came out and made the event a sucess!

Monday April 2, 2007: A middle-school group stopped by the shop today as part of their tour of UF Engineering facilites. They saw some of the equipment we use and were shown the formula and baja cars. You can see pictures from the event here.
